Natalie,
I'm with Sam Houston State University, our enrollment is approximately 19,000 and our visit numbers from last year included 3500 students and 4300 guests. We give tours Monday through Friday at 10AM, Noon, and 2PM along with 1 to 2 group tours a day. We do not cap our tours unless we have a limited number of guides. We try to keep our guide to visitor ratio at 1 to 20, so if our 10AM tour has 80 people on it, then we would assign 4 tour guides and split the group before heading out on tour. Our campus is very walkable, so all of our tours are walking tours. During our down season, if we have a very small tour (3 people or less) we will give a golf cart tour. We give bus tours to middle school groups utilizing their buses. Prior to the tour, one of the Visitor Center staff members speaks with the visitors in our theater. We go over the admissions process along with general financial aid and scholarship info and we show a 10 minute video about SHSU. I hope this information helps!

Hi CIVSA Friends!
We are in the process of revamping our daily tours and I just wanted to get an idea from you all how many tours you do in a day, how many people per tour, are these driving & walking tours or just driving/walking, do you combine your tour with an Admissions info session and if so, what does that look like, etc...? Really, just a general idea of what you offer visitors looking to visit your campus.
Thank you so much for the feedback,
Natalie Mann
