Brittney,
Good morning to you as well.
I work at Purdue University with the Welcome Center's middle school program. Through this program, we collaborate with faculty to provide presentations to middle school audiences of primarily 6, 7, and 8th grades. Most presentations are 45 minutes; however, on occasion exceptions are made and the presentation may be an hour. It is requested of faculty that the presentation format be interactive, hands-on, and as engaging as possible. The faculty member receives a finalized itinerary about a week in advance of the school's visit detailing time and location of the presentation as well as the number of school attendees. I collaborate with school teachers/administrators to learn what curriculum students might be covering in class so that the faculty presenter can incorporate this information into their presentation if he/she so chooses. I've also used internal resources to learn about research that faculty might be working on to seek out new members to add to my list of faculty presenters. I've then met with them one-on-one, described our middle school program, and how they can contribute. This method has helped me increase my list of faculty presenters by a few each semester. Once the faculty member has provided a presentation on the day of the school's visit, they receive a "Thank You" treat and handwritten note to show our gratitude of appreciation.
This semester I posed the question to one of my faculty about "What more can the Welcome Center do to show faculty our appreciation for providing presentations to the middle schools?" I was thinking the possibility of a faculty reception. His response was that having a this type of activity for them to attend may not be ideal but rather inviting faculty from various disciplines to eat lunch with the middle school students would be most beneficial and the best use of faculty's time. This would provide an opportunity for further interaction and engagement".
I know this was a long answer to your question but hopefully you find it helpful. I might add that our Welcome Center is separate from the Admissions Office.

Subject: [civsa] Faculty Interaction in the Campus Visit
Good morning all!
We are looking for different ways to engage our faculty members inside the campus visit. Currently, we offer the opportunity for students to visit classes, meet with faculty members and all our faculty attend our open house events. If your visit engages faculty, would you please let me know you engage them, what works well, what doesn't (or how you would love to improve that engagement)?
Hope you all are having a great week!! And thank you!!
Best,
Brittney
