[civsa] Using Twitter for visits and events

Hello Ebony and all!

The UA has a twitter account but we don't use that at all for programs, tours or events.

However, this year I will be experimenting with crowd-sourcing and live-tweeting at our flagship program, Arizona Experience, which is our monthly open house.  Students will be able to tweet and use hashtags and see those live on our page, as well as in our slideshow that opens the program

Greetings CIVSA! 12 days until the DC Conference!



At Ohio State, we are investigating how to use aspects of social media (especially Twitter) for our daily visits or large scale events.



If your office/department/Visitor Center has a Twitter account, could you share how you use it to communicate with your visitors and guests?



Do you use it to communicate with visitors prior to a visit, during a visit, or after a visit is completed? We're trying to see if Twitter can be effective in a campus visit or larger event.



Any help will definitely be appreciated!
