We also prefer the wicking/dry fit polo shirts.  As others have mentioned, they are best for hot days, as sweat is not visible...yes we do still sweat in CO!  Also, these shirts handle frequent washing/drying much better than cotton and therefore look new after a season of use.

We order new shirts at the beginning of each Fall Semester.  Before we decide on the shirt, we order samples and allow the Ambassadors to try them on and decide which is the best fit/material/look. This year we are trying the following:

Sport-Tek Posicharge Micro-Mesh Polos (Men:  ST680  and Women:  LST680)
Sport-Tek Posicharge Micro-Mesh Colorblock Polos (Men:   ST685 & Women:  LST685  )

Upon visiting other regional campuses, we noticed that t-shirts can also look professional, so we have ordered a sample t-shirt as well.  We decided to stick with the wicking material and chose an athletic version:
Sport-Tek Colorblock Competitor Tees (Men:  ST351 & Women:  LST351)

It's HOT most of the time here, so ours have the Nike Golf Dry Fit polos. They're white so they don't show quite as much sweat... however you have to remind the ambassadors not to iron it! The darn things melt.
