[civsa] golf carts for tours

At the University of North Florida - the Visitor Center/Orientation Office has one golf cart - not gas powered.  We use it for our VIP tours only, and we use it for getting our disabled guests around an Open House Event or an Orientation event.  Flat tires, dead batteries, and having to park it in an uncovered parking area are the issues we have had.  Ours only seats 4 and the back seats fold down to allow us to transport heavy boxes, etc.

Does anyone out there use large golf-style carts for your campus tours?  We are considering them now for next year, and I just had a few quick questions if you don't mind getting back to me!

*         How are they working for you? Great so far, wonderful for VIP tours or individual family.

*         Do they really work well year-round? Yes, we ordered the vinyl protective sides and windshield.

*         How many can they seat? 5 guests and 1 staff driver

*         What do they cost? No judgment zone here, I hope. Hope your sitting down for this one.....we invested just over $10k for 1 golf cart. We did go with quite a few extras. Although we did stop before the spinners were ordered. :)
