Hello Meghan,

My name is Brandon Bruan and I serve as Assistant Director of Admission at
Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA. PLU currently uses Ellucian
Banner as our main database and we use SalesForce (through TargetX) as our
CRM.  We use SalesForce in tracking activity within our inquiries and
applicants.

SalesForce was able to create our Enrollment Funnel for each individual
territories to allow our counselors greater control and direction as
individual territory managers. We were given the capability of tracking all
inquiries/prospects to applicants and breaking down the information on how
many applications are still incomplete, complete and have been admitted.
Through our CRM we are also able to track our work and how many contacts we
have made with our students.

Our CRM also has capabilities to manage all our electronic marketing
campaigns.  We are also able to track the open and click through rates on
all our emails to our constituents.

We began using SalesForce at the beginning of this recruitment cycle and
all our counselors agree that this is the best tool we have at serving our
students - we were excited that we could use our iPads or iPhones/androids
to access our CRM.  Previously, we used Talisma for more than year, but we
found that it was not meeting up to our expectations.
