We did welcome back/surprise bags for our tour guides. I actually borrowed the idea from 2012 CIVSA Conference. Image below shows 2 different bags we have put together. We also included a bag that contained their staff shirts, name tags, buttons, cups, sunglasses, ink pens, pins, and items donated from campus. We also received donations from local business and gave those away throughout the training (gift cards, free meals/appetizers, even a Yankee Candle). Like someone else mentioned we can't spend state money on most of this so I take advantage of the Dollar Tree.
Hope that helps!

Subject: [civsa] Welcome Back Gifts for Student Executive Boards/Coordinators
Hello All!
Do any of you who manage Tour Guides or Ambassadors do any type of welcome back gifts or surprise for your guides themselves, the coordinators or student executive board members?
Also, when you're doing your Tour Guide training in the fall, do you use any tools or videos to get everyone pumped up again to start back into the semester?
I'd love to hear your ideas.
Hope everyone is well and staying sane during the crazy move in period!!
Thanks, Kim
