[civsa] Off Campus event and No-show rates

Hello Everyone,

To chime in on two topics:

1. Off Campus Programming - FAU has recently hired regional recruiters and we will be hosting event for prospective students in each of those areas.  The recruiter, associate director, and director attend the event which is generally held in a central location at a hotel.  I will look into the actual agendas for the events and report back!

2. No-show rates - from my background in various events (paid and unpaid) the no-show rate is pretty consistently between 20-30% and seems to be mostly impacted by weather (especially with hurricane season, etc).  For our Open House events we generally have as many walk-ins as we do RSVPs.

Hi all,

We are curious if there are other institutions out there who host regional events off-campus in target markets outside of your primary area.  If so, what type of programming do you offer, and how large-scale is it?  Do you target the programming to prospective students, accepted students, or both?  Any insight or ideas are welcome!

We also track our no-show rate but we are a small liberal arts school and usually have less than a 20% no-show rate.  Thanks, Kim
