[civsa] Question about tour guide introduction

Hi All-I'm the Program Coordinator for the Campus Field Trips (aka Middle School Visits) program at Oregon State University. Our middle school tours are all about teaching youth about college in general and why it's important to go. Our tour guides introduce themselves with their name, major and hometown; but we add a variation of the learning outcomes on the document attached above. We often start by having the youth guess how many students attend OSU (~25,000), which tends to shock them and then we add a variation of "OSU is like a small city; students live, eat, work on campus, etc." Our tour guides also include why they decided it was important to them to go to college. We include a lot of questions throughout the tour to keep the students engaged.

Our guides say their name and major, but also hometown, why they chose SLU and in some cases, we ask them to say something interesting about themselves.

Hello to all of my CIVSA peeps!  I need your help!  We've been giving a lot more tours to middle school groups in the past couple months.  Normally my tour guides tell the students their name and major but I want them to say something else exciting to get the groups attention (particularly a middle school group).   My question is what do your tour guides say when introducing themselves to a middle school group or any group?  Any information you could share would be really helpful!  Thanks.
