[civsa] Visitor/Welcome Centers

Hi,

We are toying with the idea of moving from just an Admissions Office to a Visitor Center/Welcome Center.  Can folks who have made the move to integrate a Welcome/Visitor Center into their operations share the following:

1.       Why did you decided to add a Welcome/Visitor Center?

2.       What departments collaborated to create/staff the Welcome Center? (ie. Alumni, University Advancement, etc)

3.       What has been the greatest benefit to having a Welcome/Visitor Center hub?
