I hope you're having a good summer and enjoying the break from the school year (oh wait... you mean you have summer visits too?)  I'm writing to let you know that I've accepted a new position in our office as a Senior Assistant Director over the Yield Team.  This means that I will no longer be a part of daily visitation in our office, and I will begin transitioning over the next few weeks into my new role overseeing the strategic development of our office's yield efforts.

This is a bittersweet moment for me, as I have invested much of my professional time and energy into daily visitation over the past five years and CIVSA has been a large part of that.  I've met great colleagues (Denise Wellman - you're a genuine tribute to our profession) and been thankful for the openness of so many people in sharing their great ideas with me.  It truly does take a village to raise a visit program!

It seems CIVSA gains more and more members each year, and more and more energy, innovation and creativity comes to this organization with each passing month.  I'll never forget how welcomed I felt at the first timer's breakfast at my first conference at Cal Poly Pomona back in 2008.  I hope to see those who are in the world of Undergraduate Admissions at future NACAC, SACAC and College Board meetings and conferences!
